ORDER

The petitioner / defacto complainant in SCNo.86 of 2024 on the file of the learned Additional District Judge, Sivagangai has filed this petition for a direction to expedite the trial in SCNo.86 of 2024. 1/4

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the occurrence had taken place on 26.07.2023 and charge sheet was filed on 21.10.2023. Thereafter there is no progress in the trial. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the case has been committed to the court of sessions only on 30.04.2024 and the accused have entered appearance. Now the case is posted for framing of charges on 23.09.2025. 4.Since it is reported that even charges are yet to be framed and without ascertaining the number of trials pending, this court is not inclined to issue any direction as prayed for. However, the trial court may consider to expedite the trial in SC.No.86 of 2024. 5.This petition is disposed of in the above terms. 08.08.2025 DSK 2/4
