O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2025, seeking payment of compensation for the petitioner's land acquired for extension of State Highways.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.N.Murugesan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, 56.4 sq.mts., of the petitioner's land situated in New S.No.4771/2, Old S.No.4771 in B.B.Kulam Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District was acquired for extension of the State Highways. Though the land acquisition notification was issued in 2/4

March 2025, till date compensation has not been paid. Hence, the petitioner submitted the instant representation dated 28.06.2025 before the second respondent, seeking payment of compensation and the same has not been considered till date.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the competent authority has not passed the award fixing compensation. He further submits that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.06.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits as expeditiously as possible.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
