ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue a Non-Traceable Certificate in respect of Document No.3755/2013 registered in the Sub-Registrar Office, Kariyapatti, Virudhunagar District, and Document No.1773/2000 registered in the SubRegistrar Office, Batlagundu, Dindigul District, within the time stipulated by this Court, based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2024.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner had earlier lodged a similar complaint in the year 2021, which was closed on 26.08.2021. Subsequently, another complaint was lodged on 10.12.2024. However, the petitioner failed to appear and did not properly cooperate with the enquiry, and therefore the enquiry could not be concluded.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that the petitioner undertakes to appear before the respondent Police and fully cooperate with the enquiry.

Since the Director General of Police has already issued guidelines in R.C.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2023, dated 01.04.2022 for dealing with complaints relating to the issuance of Non-Traceable Certificates, the respondent Police are directed to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with the said circular and pass appropriate orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to appear before the respondent Police and extend full cooperation for the enquiry.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
