ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for expediting the trial in S.T.C.No.545 of 2019 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Melur.

2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is the complainant in the said case. It is a private complaint filed under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

4. As rightly pointed out by the learned counsel for the complainant, statute expects the Court to conclude the trial within a period of six months.

5. However, taking note of the overall facts and circumstances of the case, particularly, workload of the court below, the Judicial Magistrate, Melur is directed to conclude S.T.C.No.545 of 2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
