This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of 1/4
a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament schedule to be held on 07.10.2022 to 10.10.2022 at Periya Muthandipatti, Budalur Taluk, Thanjavur District on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 26.09.2022. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) takes notice for the respondents and submitted that in the neighbouring village namely Pudukudi, there was a law and problem. Therefore, cases in Crime Nos. 423 of 2022 and 491 of 2022 were registered and picketing is going on. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it is only neighbouring village. Since picketing is going on in the neighbouring village, the event proposed by the petitioner at this stage may not be proper. So they can find some other date after the situation eased out in the neighbouring village.
4.Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation after easing the situation in their neighbouring village and the same shall be considered by the respondent police in the light of the Circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, 2/4
in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019. 5.With the above directions, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
