2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have preferred appeals as against the order of seniority passed by the Director of Rural Development of Panchayat Raj/First respondent herein and the same are pending for the past two years without any progress and therefore they approached this Court by way of writ of Mandamus.

3.Without expressing anything on the merits of this case, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
