O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by a former employee of Annamalai University, seeking a Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant omitted increments for the years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 and refix the pay as per the report of 7th Pay Commission with all consequential monetary benefits and with arrears.

2. The petitioner was originally appointed as Junior Assistant in Annamalai University on 01.04.2010 and the services were confirmed on 01.08.2012. Due to surplus staff, the petitioner was deployed to the Child Development Project Office, Srivilliputhur, on 23.06.2018. The petitioner found that his increments have not been granted for the years 2011-2012 and 2012 - 2013. When he approached the deployed Department, he was informed by them to approach the Annamalai University, which is the parent department.

3. The petitioner has sent a representation to the second respondent herein on 20.01.2024 through the Child Development Project Office, Srivilliputhur. The said Child Development Project Officer has forwarded the same to the second respondent herein on 01.02.2024. So far, the second respondent has not passed any order either accepting or rejecting the representation of the writ petitioner.

4. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
