O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to provide Police protection to the petitioner and his wife from the third respondent as per the complaint given by the petitioner dated 10.08.2023.

2. It is submitted that basing on the threat from the third respondent, the petitioner has filed a complaint before the respondents Police, in respect of dispute between the petitioner and the unofficial respondent and even then, the respondents Police are not providing police protection and therefore, the suitable directions are sought for.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that the petition filed by the petitioner is still under enquiry and in case the petitioner appears and makes out a case, then they will dispose of the same and provide the required protection.

4. Considering the submissions made by both sides, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to appear for 2/5

enquiry before the Police.

5. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner is a senior citizen and he appeared before the Police on two occasions.

6. Keeping in view the above fact, the respondents Police are directed to complete the enquiry in C.S.R.No.851 of 2023 as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
