ORDER

The petitioner has preferred an appeal before the second respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Palani, under Patta Pass Book Act, on 27.03.2023, as against the issuance of patta in favour of one Pethakkal. Since the said appeal has not been decided so far, the petitioner has filed this writ petition for early disposal of the appeal preferred by him.

2. Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that based on the appeal preferred by the petitioner, the second respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer has already issued a summon calling upon the petitioner for the enquiry on 06.09.2023.

3. Considering the fact that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is not yet decided, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to 2/4

the second respondent to conclude the enquiry and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 27.03.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
