This Criminal Original Petition had been filed to direct the Respondent police to register a First Information Report based on the complaint dated 15.03.2022 in obedience with the order of the learned Judidial Magistrate No.II, Srivilliputhur dated 27.06.2022 in Crl.M.P.No.1824 of 2022.

2. There is no representation on behalf of the Petitioner.

3. The learnded Additioanl Public Prosecutor would submit that the First Information Report was registered by the Srivilliputhur Town Police on 16.10.2022 in Crime No.446 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 406 r/w.34 of IPC.

4. In view of the same, the Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District is directed to nominate a Senior Officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police to supervise the investigation. If the Superintendent of Police is not satisfied with the investigation conducted by the second Respondent he/she shall withdraw the file from the file of the second Respondent and hand 2/4

over the same to the officer in his/her assessment who is fair impartial and conclude the investigation within a reasonable period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
