PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue a non traceable certificate to the petitioner in respect of missing documents vide Document Nos.412 of 2004 and 527 of 2004 on the file of Veeracholan Sub Registrar and Document No.4077 of 2008 on the file of Thiruppuvanam Sub Registrar, Sivagangai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.11.2022, 10.05.2023, 05.06.2023 and 16.08.2023 within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a mandamus directing the second respondent to issue a Non Traceable Certificate to the petitioner.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has lost the Document Nos.412 of 2004 and 527 of 2004 on the file of Veeracholan Sub Registrar and Document No.4077 of 2008 on the file of Thiruppuvanam Sub Registrar, Sivagangai District. Therefore, the petitioner has requested the respondent police to issue non-traceable certificate. However, the respondents police are stated to have not complied with the said request.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that as per the circular issued by the office of the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Chennai-4, dated 01.04.2022, whoever files an application for issuance of certificate of non traceable of any document or otherwise, is required to follow certain requirements as narrated in the said circular memorandum.

4. The petitioner is directed to file an application by following the conditions stipulated in the circular dated 01.04.2022. On making of such application, the respondents police are directed to dispose of the same without 2/4

any delay and furnish the certificate as required.
