ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Sanitary Worker working in the Theni Municipality, challenging his order of transfer to Cumbam Municipality.

2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, he was issued with a memo on 15.07.2024 and he was placed under compulsory wait on 18.07.2024 on certain allegations and therefore, the present order of transfer is punitive in nature.

3.It is the prerogative of the employer to transfer an employee from one place to another place, in case, if he is not satisfied with the services of the concerned employee, and the same cannot be considered to be punitive in nature.

4.In view of the above said facts, there are no merits in the writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
