[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] Prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents from proceeding with the temple purification function under the guise of "Palkuda Abishekam" scheduled to be held on 27.07.2018 at Sri Mariamman Temple, Thannachiappan Kovil Street, Chinnadharapuram, Karur District and to direct the respondents 1 to 4 herein to initiate action as against the respondents 5 to 7 herein for ex-communicating the petitioner and his community people, namely, Pallar Community (Schedule Caste Community) from village and threatening them, as per the representation of the petitioner dated 04.05.2015.
2. It is seen that the purification function was scheduled to be held as early as on 27.07.2018. Therefore, the relief sought for by the petitioner has now become infructuous.
3. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, if the petitioner is still having any grievance with regard to ex-
communication, it is open to him to approach the authority concerned and work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. [D.K.K., J.] [R.V., J.] 13.02.2024 (1/2) NCC :
