This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings pending in the FIR in Crime No.25 of 2020 on the file of first respondent police.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that they are no longer appearing for the petitioners and the bundle has also been returned back. A memo to that effect has also been filed before this Court. 3.The learned Counsel for the second respondent submitted that initially an agreement was entered into but however subsequently the petitioners did not proceed further to work out the terms of compromise and

as a result, the settlement failed.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the quash petition itself has been filed only on the ground of compromise which did not go through, this Court does not find any ground to deal with this case on merits. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. There shall be a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.25 of 2020 and file the final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 24.01.2025 Internet :Yes Index :Yes/No NCC :Yes/No LR To
