The petitioner by making certain allegations on the election, which has been conducted for Semparayanenthal Kanmoi Water Users Association said to have submitted a representation before 2/6
the Revenue Divisional Officer and filed this writ petition for a Mandamus to take action against the seventh respondent, based on the fourth respondent's recommendation.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner by referring the proceedings of the Tahsildar, Sivagangai submits that the seventh respondent has tampered with certain documents and participated in the election. This has been confirmed by the Tahsildar in his proceedings and the same has been referred to the Revenue Divisional Officer for necessary action. The Revenue Divisional Officer, who is the authority to take action has not taken any action. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the official respondents submits that the representation of this petitioner and the proceedings of the Tahsildar 3/6
are now under consideration of the Revenue Divisional Officer and the same will be disposed of within a period of four weeks. 4.Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition is closed. No costs. 30.08.2023 NCC : Yes / No.
