PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records on the file of the fifth respondent in connection with the impugned order of rejection passed by him in Na.Ka.No.12/D3PS/SA.AA/2023 dated 16.08.2023 and quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Puravi Eduppu and Eruthu Kattu on 30.08.2023 in the eve of 51st Temple festival for Sri Alagusathaiah Ayyanar Temple situated at Oriyur Village, Tiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2023.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for quashment of the impugned order dated 16.08.2023 passed by the fifth respondent and for a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission to conduct Puravi Eduppu and Eruthu Kattu on 30.08.2023, in the eve of 51st Temple festival in Sri Alagusathaiah Ayyanar Temple situated at Oriyur Village, Tiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that the prayer as sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition has already been granted.

3. Since the prayer as sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition has already been granted, this Petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
