ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 B.N.S.S., seeking orders to direct the respondents to give adequate police protection based on the representation dated 28.08.2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was attempting to install CCTV cameras in his house and the same came to be objected by his neighbours and hence, he has lodged a complaint dated 28.08.2024 seeking police protection to the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that they have already closed the complaint and he has produced the proceedings.

4. It is evident from the said proceedings that the second respondent has observed that the petitioner has to get orders from the Court or from the first respondent for giving police protection. This Court is at loss to understand as to how such a order came to be passed 2/4

by the second respondent directing the parties to approach the Court or the first respondent for getting police protection when the complaint was given before the concerned Inspector of Police. Hence, the second respondent is directed to consider the writ petitioner's complaint and take a decision within a period of three days from today.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
