ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents to give police protection to Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman Thirukovil, Azagar Nayakenpatti, Melmangalam Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District for the consecration i.e (Kumbabishekam) of the said Temple that is scheduled on 14.09.2024 and 15.09.2024.
2. Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 2 and 4. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final 2/6
disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.K.Appadurai, learned counsel wanted to file an impleading petition for impleading one Rajaram, who is also connected with the temple in dispute.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner's committee has no objection for the said Rajaram's group to participate in the temple festival.
5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2 and 4 would submit that earlier on the basis of the complaint given by both the parties, CSR Nos.414 and 425 of 2024 came to be registered and the same are pending. He would further submit that the present representation given by the writ petitioner is pending before the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer and he is going to convene a meeting tomorrow itself i.e., on 12.09.2024.
6. Considering the above, the Revenue Divisional Officer, 3/6
Periyakulam is directed to issue notice to the writ petitioner as well as to the other parties including the said Rajaram and conduct enquiry and take a decision tomorrow (12.09.2024) itself.
7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
