No.12699 of 2018 Arya @ Jamsherd .. Petitioner Vs T.N.S.M.Sankarathmajan .. Respondent Prayer :- Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to call for the records pertaining to the impugned charge sheet in C.C.NO.178 of 2011 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli District on the file of the Respondent police and quash the same. ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and earlier order of this court and the letter submitted by the Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamudram, vide his letter in D.No.735/2021 dated 20/4/2021, requesting for further period of 6 weeks to dispose the CC.No.178/11 pending on its file, this Court made the following order:

This Court, by order dated 20.11.2019, directed the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli District, to complete the trial in C.C.Nos.178 and 179 of 2011 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, on the basis of the request made by the Trial Court on 31.08.2020, four months time has been extended.

2.Due to pandemic situation, the trial could not be completed within the time stipulated by this Court. Hence, the Trial Court by letter dated 20.04.2021, seeking further extension of six weeks time.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the time granted by this Court is extended by six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
