Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the second respondent in F.No.1(5)/20/Judl/Chn dated 17.03.2020 and quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to pay the petitioner's fee and expenses sum of Rs.1,06,800/-. 1/4

O R D E R

The Writ Petition is directed against the order dated 17.03.2020 passed by the second respondent and for direction to the respondents to pay the writ petitioner's fee and expenses to the tune of Rs.1,06,800/-.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the second respondent has filed a status report, wherein, it has been stated that a new panel of Standing Counsels were appointed vide order dated 31.05.2016 by the Department of Legal Affairs, New Delhi.

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner may be paid till 31.05.2016.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances and taking note of the submissions made on either side, the writ petitioner is directed to submit 2/4

a fresh revised bill calculated upto 31.05.2016 within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the respondents are directed to pay the amount on verification within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
