passed by the second respondent vide his proceeding in P.D.O.No.39/2022 dated 17.08.2022 and quash the same as illegal and to direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu namely Palani @ Palaniyandi Chinnapoosari, son of Palaniyandi, aged 65 years, now detained at Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli District before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to quash the detention order of the 2nd respondent in P.D.O.No.39/2022 dated 17.08.2022 and direct the respondents to produce the detenu, namely, Palani @ Palaniyandi Chinnapoosari, son of Palaniyandi, aged about 65 years, now confining as Sexual Offender at Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli, before this Court and set him at liberty.
2. The detention order, which is impugned herein, is dated 17.08.2022, as such, the detention period of one year is already over and hence, this petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
