ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to complete the enquiry pending on his file in Patta Appeal proceedings No.O.Mu.A3/3167/2025, dated 09.06.2025.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.D.Senthil, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3.By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4.According to the petitioner, the property situated in Survey No. 219/14, with an extent of 1.25 cents, in Karunsutthi Group, Ilayangudi

Taluk, Sivagangai District, originally belonged to the petitioner's grandfather, Santhiyagu, Perkmance and irudhayamery. The said property was sold by one of the co-sharers, Irudhayamery, in favour of the third respondent. Based on that sale deed, patta was changed in the name of the third respondent. Since the petitioner is also having the share in the said property, he filed an appeal before the first respondent, seeking cancellation of exclusive patta issued in the name of the third respondent. The said appeal is pending on the file of the first respondent without any progress. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the appeal pending on the file of the first respondent will be disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to complete the enquiry in Patta Appeal Proceedings No.O.Mu.A3/3167/2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the

date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, third respondent and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
