PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to cancel the patta stands in the name of the respondents 5 and 6 in respect of S.F.No.101/4 with an extent of .029.0 ares (72 cents) of Vettivayal Village, Melmangalam Revenue Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District and restore in the name of the petitioner's predecessor Vishalam Foundry, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 08.11.2021. ORDER

The District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai District, is suo motu impleaded as 9th respondent in this Writ Petition. Mr.K.S.Selvaganesan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the newly impleaded 9th respondent.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to cancel the Patta standing in the name of the respondents 5 and 6 with respect to the subject property, based on the representation dated 08.11.2021.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 and 9 produced the written instructions received from the third respondent. The relevant portions in the written instructions are extracted hereunder:-

4. It is clear from the written instructions that the mistake had crept in during the UDR Scheme and hence, the proceedings are now pending before the District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai District. In view of the same, the 3/5

District Revenue Officer, Pudukkottai District, shall issue notice to all the parties concerned and pass orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
