ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused No.4 herein, who was arrested on 20.01.2021 for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii) (c) and Section 25 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.60 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.During the pendency of the bail application a request was made by the petitioner to enlarge him on interim bail stating that his father is taking treatment in Theni for surgery. Because of his ailment, he is in bedridden and the petitioner is the only person to take care of him. Hence, 20 days interim bail was granted to the petitioner to take care of his father.

3.But the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that after releasing the accused from the prison, he did not surrender before the concerned police station and absconding. Hence, she has also filed withdrawal memo seeking permission to withdraw her memo of appearance in this case.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that this petition is liable to be dismissed.

CRL OP(MD). No.19306 of 2021 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The Respondent police is directed to secure the petitioner immediately and remand him and the compliance report also must be submitted to the Registry.
