ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue death certificate to the petitioner based on the representation made by him.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that his mother died on 13.05.2007. The petitioner made representations seeking for death certificate. Since the same was not acted upon, the present Writ Petition was filed before this Court.

3. In the considered view of this Court since the death of the mother of the petitioner has not been registered, the petitioner has to necessarily follow the procedure that has been prescribed under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 and the Tamil Nadu Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2000. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed in this Writ Petition.
