PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give electricity connection to the petitioner's Mottarayasi Saiva Vellalar Mandagapadi situated at Door No.18, Saravana Pogaiveethi Periyaratha Veethi, Thirupparangundram, Madurai based on the representation dated 21.08.2024 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to give electricity connection to the petitioner's Mottarayasi Saiva Vellalar Mandagapadi situated at Door No.18, Saravana Pogaiveethi Periyaratha Veethi, Thirupparangundram, Madurai based on the representation dated 21.08.2024 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner has not filed any application seeking electricity service connection and if the application is filed, the respondent is ready to consider the same.

4.Without filing necessary application along with relevant documents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition to provide electricity service connection by considering the representation of the petitioner. No such blanket direction can be issued in a writ petition. Let the petitioner files an application with supporting documents before the respondent for providing electricity service connection. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
