This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give adequate police protection to "Sammattipuram Sunnath-Val Jamaath Mosque", Khan Sahib @ Marudhanayagam Dargha situated at Sammattipuram Main Road, Madurai on 15.10.2019 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2019 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.Without going into the merits of the case, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 09.10.2019 submitted by the petitioner seeking police protection to conduct a memorial tribute and honour the Khan Sahib @ Marudhanayagam in their Mospue situated at Sammattipuram Main Road, Madurai, to be held on 15.10.2019 and pass orders forthwith.
