PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of the Courts Act, 1971, to initiate contempt proceedings against the contemnor /first appellate and to punish him for the willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 25.08.2020 made in W.A.(MD)No.689 of 2020. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) No appearance for the contempt petitioner. However, the learned Government Advocate circulates a copy of G.O.Ms.No.127, School Education (PaKa7(1)) Department, dated 12.07.2023, pursuant to which, proceedings in Na.Ka.No.6363/A1/2023 dated 19.09.2023 has been passed.

2. The contents of the aforesaid GO have been acted upon and a proposal has been sent to the office of the Accountant General for pay over. This would tantamount to compliance of the direction under order dated 25.08.2020 in WA(MD)No.689 of 2020, as against which, contempt has been alleged. From this point onwards, it is for the contempt petitioner to pursue the matter with the office of the Accountant General and obtain benefit of the order. Recording this, the Contempt Petition is closed.
