ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police 1/3

for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 8 (C), 20(b)(ii) (B), 25 of NDPS Act r/w Section 77 of JJ Act in Cr.No.8 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that one Khadar Afridin was found in illegal possession of 100 grams of ganja and he confessed that he received the contraband for sale through the petitioner herein.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Further, he submits that the petitioner was implicated only on the basis of the confession statement and there is no recovery from the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) for the respondent submits that A1 and A2 were arrested and they are still in custody. He further submits that, the petitioner is having 8 previous cases, in which, two cases are similar in nature and he is the close associate of A1 & A2.

5.Considering the antecedents of the petitioner and considering the fact that 2/3

the petitioner is the close associate of A1 & A2, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
