ORDER
This petition has been listed for extension of time pursuant to the letter sent by the concerned Trial Court.
2. The learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dindigul by his letter dated 07.03.2026 has sought further time to dispose of the case in S.C.No.132 of 2024.

3. This Court had already directed the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dindigul to dispose of the case in S.C.No.132 of 2024 on or before 28.02.2026. The learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dindigul in his letter stated that in this case charges were framed on 23.01.2026 and the case was fixed for trial proceedings. Further the learned Public Prosecutor is unable to conduct the trial due to his personal commitments. On 05.02.2026 the prosecution witnesses LW1, LW3 to LW10, and LW12 were present before the Court for examination.
When the deceased person's mother and complainant Murugeshwari, aged about 51 years, wife of late Shanmugavel, was examined by this Court and she categorically expressed serious apprehension and lack of confidence in the said Pub Prosecutor, stating that both the accused persons and the Public Prosecutor belong to the same village, namely Muttazhagupatti. Further the complainant has also submitted a written representation in open Court, seeking appointment of another Public Prosecutor for conducting the trial. In view of the apprehension expressed by the complainant, and considering the presence and safety of the witnesses, this Court found it appropriate not to proceed further with the trial and as the case has been adjourned for various dates for examination of the witnesses.
other Public Prosecutor or a Special Public Prosecutor to conduct the trial in S.C.132/2024 and as per the proceedings of the District Collector, Dindigul, Special Public Prosecutor was appointed to conduct the trial in S.C.No.132/2024 which was received by this court on 13.02.2026. Further the various prosecution witnesses were examined and material objects were marked and the case is posted for further examination of witnesses, due to the reasons stated above, the case could not be disposed of as directed by this Court.
4. Considering the request made by the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dindigul and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, time already granted by this Court to dispose the case in S.C.No.132 of 2024 is extended by another two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
