This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2022 and 16.08.2023 respectively, to rectify the UDR error and to give the joint patta for the extent of 4 Cents for the property situated in Old Survey No. 140/5, New Survey No.140/32, with an extent of 4 Cents in Nainarpettai Village, Kaliyanthur Panchayath Limit, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District in Patta No.251.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the respondents will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2023 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner and any other persons who may be affected and considering any objections submitted by them. The respondents shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same shall be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
