Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.R.SARAVANAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.SS.MADHAVAN, Government Advocate (Criminal) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed by the petitioner to dispense with his personal appearance before the trial Court. 2.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner is aged about 78 years and he could not travel frequently from Chennai to Sivagangai Court for each hearing. Hence, prays to allow this petition.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side).

4. Considering the facts and circumstances and old age of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to allow this petition. The personal appearance of the petitioner, before the trial Court is dispensed with. However, the petitioner is directed to appear before the trial Court as and when required and co-operate with the trial proceedings.
