ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to contest the cases filed by the farmers against the petitioner, who represented as the Secretary on behalf of the Grama Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank at Thoruvalur in Ramanathapuram District, which is pending before the District Consumer Redressal Forum.

2. The petitioner is a former Secretary of the first respondent Society, namely, Grama Primary Agricultural Co-operative Bank, against whom, some allegations have been raised by the farmers that he has sold defective paddy seeds to the farmers and in this regard, complaints have been made and the proceedings are also pending. Now, the petitioner wants a direction of this Court to the respondents to contest the proceedings pending against him. Since there was an 2/4

individual allegation as against the petitioner, the then Secretary of the Society, the liability cannot be fastened as against the present Secretary of the Society, namely, the first respondent. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant any direction as sought for by the petitioner.
