ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed, seeking a direction to the third respondent to carry out necessary corrections in the revenue records by deleting wrong entries in the properties covered by a computer patta No. 137 in Survey Nos.285/3A and 285/3D situated at Allithurai Village, Srirangam Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2025.
2. Heard Mr.R.Sakthivel, counsel for the petitioner; and Mr.A.Baskaran, Additional Government Pleader, for the respondents. With the consent of both the counsel, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
3. According to the petitioner, the subject property was purchased by the petitioner's wife Saveriyammal in the year 1988 and she died on 27.10.2018. The petitioner as a legal representative of the deceased Saveriyammal, wanted to get the revenue documents mutated in his favour. During the process, the petitioner acquired knowledge that the revenue documents stands in the name of wrong persons namely Rathnam, S/o.Vairamani and Vairamani S/o. Sivalingam. Therefore, the petitioner submitted instant representations dated 14.02.2025 and 17.02.2025, before the official respondents and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore the petitioner has come before this Court.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the District Revenue Officer forwarded the representation of the petitioner to the third respondent for necessary action and the matter is pending on his file.
5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to file his report
before the second respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner and pass final orders within a period of 12 weeks thereafter, after issuing notice to the petitioner and above mentioned Rathnam and Vairamani in whose names the revenue records stands as on date and other interested persons.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of, as above. No costs.
