PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2016 with respect to the compensation for the death of her daughter, namely, Glory Arockiarani, on 31.01.2016 in the Nochikulam Tank located at Karungulam Village, Manapparai Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District. 1/3

COMMON ORDER These writ petitions are filed seeking for compensation for the death of petitioners' children, in the Nochikulam Tank located at Karungulam Village, Manapparai Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioner in both petitions made representations dated 20.04.2016 and 21.04.2016, respectively, for the death of their children. So far no steps have been taken. Hence, the petitioners filed these present writ petitions. 3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents filed counter affidavits, wherein, it have been stated that the petitioners' representations in respect of compensation have been considered and the amount of Rs.

50,000/- each has been awarded out of the Chief Minister Relief Fund, under the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. The said amount has also been handed over to the petitioners by way of Cheque Under No.929310, dated 14.11.2018; Cheque No.928047, dated 20.07.2018 respectively, and the acknowledgment were received in Form 6 and Form 7 by the Tahsildar, Disaster, Management, Collectorate, Tiruchirappalli. 4.In view of the above, the petitioners' request have been considered. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in these petitions.

5.Accordingly, these writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. If the petitioners want any additional compensation, it is open to them to approach the concerned authority. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar () // True Copy // / /2020 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) das 2/3
