O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police for expeditious completion of investigation in Crime No.213 of 2023 by fixing a specific time.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/defacto complainant that on a complaint given by the petitioner, the respondents Police have registered a case in Crime No.213 of 2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 120B, 406, 467 and 420 IPC. It is submitted that the accused in this case have taken pre-arrest bail and subsequently, the Police have not proceeded further and there is no proper investigation. Therefore, he sought for completing the investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate Criminal side appearing for the official respondents submits that the investigation is in progress and so far three witnesses were examined and the respondents Police requires some more time to complete the investigation. 2/4

4. In view of the submission made by both sides, the respondents Police are directed to complete the investigation as quickly as possible not later than eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
