O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to complete the enquiry regarding forged transfer of patta in respect of Survey Nos.128/4 and 128/12 at Mallapuram Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District following the proceedings of the second respondent in O.Mu. No.G2/3757/2020 dated 04.02.2020.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents submitted that the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the third respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2020 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner and any other persons who may be affected by such decision and considering any objections submitted by them. The third respondent shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same shall be agitated before the competent civil court. No costs.
