O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to withdraw a sum of Rs. 6,00,000/- available in petitioner PF Account No. 11091 on the file of 1st respondent Trust within the time limit fixed by this Court so as to enable him to meet out marriage expenses of his daughter which is scheduled to be held on 20.08.2025.

2. Heard Mr.A.Rahul, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Raja, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The petitioner was appointed as a Conductor in the respondent Corporation on June 3, 1996. The petitioner's daughter's marriage is scheduled to be held on 20.08.2025. For this purpose, the petitioner submitted an application to the first respondent on 29.07.2025, requesting withdrawal of Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs only) from his EPF Account No. 11091. On the same date, he submitted a representation to the respondents, reiterating his request for withdrawing the amount. As no action was taken on this representation, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition before this Court.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider 3/6

the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and pay the eligible amount of the petitioner, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits. No costs.
