Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct "Karakattam" cultural program Arulmighu Sri Mariamman Temple, Vandhalai Koodalur, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District on 06.12.2021 from 08.00 pm., to 12.00 pm., and to provide adequate police protection.

ORDER

The petitioner wants this Court to direct the second respondent to permit him to conduct the petition mentioned event. 2.The petitioner asserts that there is no communal angle. The second respondent is therefore directed to grant permission to the petitioner to hold the petition mentioned event. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate appropriate conditions for ensuring the smooth conduct of the event. The petitioner through his counsel gives an undertaking that the organizers of the event will adhere to the police directives.

3.Recording the said undertaking, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
