ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 75(2), 78(2), 351(2) BNS r/w Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act in Cr.No.184 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is running a beauty parlour and she is having some relationship with A1, who is said to have received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- from her on various dates. When she asked to return the amount, A1 and the petitioner herein intimidated her that they are having some obscene photos of her and they would upload the same in the social media. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) for the respondent submits that the petitioner has also accompanied with A1 on the date of occurrence and 2/6

demanded Rs.One Lakh.

5.Mr.G.Vishnuram, learned counsel seeks permission to file intervening application.

6.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side and perused the available materials.

7.Even according to the defacto complainant, she had relationship with A1 and she has parted money only with A1 and when she demanded to return the money, A1 has not returned money. In the contrary, the defacto complainant has lodged complaint as if the petitioner has intimidated along with A1 and demanded further Rs.One Lakh and also intimidated that they will uploaded obscene photos of her in the social media. Though the complaint was lodged on 25.07.2025, the respondent Police has not secured the mobile phone of A1 and also there is no progress in the investigation.

8.Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

9.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, before the Additional Mahila Court, Thanjavur on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/-(Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the Additional Mahila Court, Thanjavur and on further conditions that:

i. The petitioner and the sureties shall submit a copy of their Aadhaar Card or any other identity card issued by the Government in proof of their residence address; ii. The petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 am until further orders. He has to produce his mobile phone to the respondent Police for verification and co-operate for the investigation.

iii. The petitioner shall not misuse the liberty granted to him by 4/6

indulging in any further offence and shall not tamper with the prosecution witnesses. The petitioner shall be available for the trial as well.

iv. On violation of any of the above conditions by the petitioner, the respondent police shall move an application for cancellation of the anticipatory bail.
