O R D E R

Seeking quashment of the proceedings in Crime No.143 of 2025, on the file of the first respondent police, the petitioners have approached this Court.

2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No.143 of 2025 has already been completed and final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.IV, Madurrai, through e-filing on 29.05.2025 and the same is yet to be taken on file.

3.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. The petitioners are at liberty to challenge the final report, in the manner known to law, if they are aggrieved. Mere filing of final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is filed without any defects and it is taken on 2/4

file by the learned Judicial Magistrate. It is also the responsibility of the concerned Magistrate to take the final report on file, if it is filed in order, without delay.
