Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third Respondent to issue a No Objection Certificate for availing electricity connection from the fourth Respondent to Veyil Muthu Sastha Temple situated in Survey No. 41,Thupakudi Village, Alangulam Taluka, Tenkasi District, in accordance with G.O.(Ms)No.308 dated 22.08.2019, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

Heard Mr.Murugiah, Party-in-person and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader for the Respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the 4th Respondent.

This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third Respondent to issue a No Objection Certificate for availing electricity connection from the fourth Respondent to Veyil Muthu Sastha Temple situated in Survey No.41,Thupakudi Village, Alangulam Taluka, Tenkasi District, in accordance with G.O.(Ms)No.308 dated 22.08.2019. 3.

Mr.Murugiah, Party-in-person, submits that he is one of the devotee and in respect of his grievances for installation of electricity connection in the Temple, he has filed representation dated 16.04.2025 before the 3rd Respondent/ Tahsildar, Alangulam Taluk Office, Tenkasi District for getting No Objection Certificate. But his representation was not decided by the 3rd Respondent for a long time. Thus, he prays this Court that the 3rd Respondent may be directed to to decide the representation of the Petitioner dated 16.04.2025 on merits and in accordance with law.

Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader for the Respondents 1 to 3, submits that since the Petitioner has submitted a representation on 16.04.2025 to the 3rd Respondent/ Tahsildar, Alangulam Taluk Office, Tenkasi District, this Court may issue a positive direction to the 3rd Respondent to consider and decide the representation dated 16.04.2025, on merits and in accordance with law within a specified time frame fixed by this Court. 5.

Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the 4th Respondent also concurred with the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader.

After hearing the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and without going into merits of the case, this Court directs the Petitioner to serve a certified copy of this order along with the representation dated 16.04.2025 on the 3rd Respondent and on receipt of said representation along with the certified copy of this order, the 3rd Respondent shall decide the Petitioner's representation dated 4/7

16.04.2025 and pass a reasoned and speaking order on merits, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks therefrom. The 3rd Respondent shall communicate the decision taken by him to the Petitioner through Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due (RPAD) within a period of two weeks from the date of passing the order/decision.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
