The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 4 to provide police protection and to grant permission for the Petitioner Vagaiyara to get Kaval Mariyathai for the temple festival of Arulmigu Sree Manthaiamman Thirukoil, situated at Thirumancholai Village, Sivagangai Taluk and District scheduled to be held on 31.07.2018 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2018 in the light of the order passed in W.P.(MD) No.13954 of 2017 dated 31.07.2017.

Learned counsel appearing for the respective parties submitted that nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition as the festival, for which protection and permission was sought, has already been over. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
