ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the staff fixation made by the second respondent/Chief Educational Officer for the academic year 2017-2018 in Mu.Mu.No.6133/A3/2017 dated 21.10.2017 and the consequential proceedings in Mu.Mu.No.92171/A3/2017 dated 10.07.2018, and seeking to quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The issue for consideration in this writ petition is the determination of staff strength with reference to the total student strength in the petitioner's institution. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to furnish the present student strength of both the Tamil Medium and English Medium sections of the Higher Secondary School. On receipt of the said particulars, the second respondent shall fix the staff strength in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.525, School Education 2/4

Department, dated 29.12.1997. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the report from the petitioner school. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
