Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling upon records relating to the impugned order dated 21.07.2025 passed by the second respondent on the application made by the petitioner in Application reference No.2000540107251188 and quash the same and consequently direct the 1/5
second respondent to grant the petitioner with an Electricity Service Connection by considering her online application dated 21.07.2025 in application reference No 2000540107251188 within a stipulated time fixed by this court.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 21.07.2025 passed by the second respondent and consequential direction to the second respondent to grant an Electricity Service Connection to the petitioner by considering her online application dated 21.07.2025 in application reference No 2000540107251188.
2. It is noticed that under similar circumstances, this Court passed the following order:
This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents 2/5
and with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
2. It is noticed that the issue is now covered by the decision of this Court rendered on 09.09.2024 in W.P.(MD).No.21402 of 2024 filed by one A.M.J.Srirangamuthuraj Vs. the District Collector and 2 others. The operative portion of the order reads as follows: "5. I have also considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record.
6.The impugned order of rejection has been passed stating that the petitioner's land is located nearer to Sambai Ootru, which has been used for providing water to many other people in the locality.
7.The issue on hand has already been dealt with by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.4129 of 2022 [S.Nitheshraj vs. The District Collector and others].
8.Following the same, this writ petition is allowed and the order impugned in this writ petition dated 07.08.2024 is set aside. The second respondent is directed to provide electricity service connection to the subject property subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities as expeditiously as possible. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed."
3. Considering the same, there shall be a positive direction to the respondents to issue power connection to the petitioner, subject to the petitioner complying with other requirements and formalities, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of payment and necessary charges by the petitioner.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
