ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2025 and issue patta in his name in respect of the property in Plot No.2, measuring an extent of 2755 3⁄4 sq.ft., and Plot No.1, measuring an extent of 150 sq.ft., both comprised in Survey No.39/1, situated at Kamatchi Amman Nagar, Pudupattinam Village, Pudupattinam Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Venkatesan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5

3. According to the petitioner, the subject property was purchased by his father, Kaliyamoorthy, under a registered sale deed dated 20.02.2002. Subsequently, Patta No.105 was mutated in the name of the petitioner's father and others. Thereafter, the petitioner's father executed a settlement deed on 02.02.2005 in favour of the petitioner. Based on the said document, the petitioner submitted a representation on 02.03.2023 before respondents 1 and 5 seeking issuance of patta in his name. The first respondent, by letter No.R3/4613600/2023 dated 19.06.2023, forwarded the petitioner's application to the third respondent for necessary action. The third respondent, by proceedings in O.Mu.1123522/2023OO(3) dated 09.10.2023, in turn forwarded the application to the fourth respondent. Thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner submitted a further representation on 26.05.2025 reiterating his request for issuance of patta. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2025 and pass final orders on 3/5

its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
