PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and grant the petitioner's representation dated 30.06.2025 for transfer to any suitable vacancy within Kanyakumari district by passing order thereon. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and grant the petitioner's representation dated 30.06.2025 for transfer to any suitable vacancy within Kanyakumari district, by passing order thereon.

2.Heard Mr.Ananth, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Balasubramanian, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working as a Staff Nurse at Government Headquarters Hospital, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, while the petitioner's husband is working as a Nursing Officer at ESIC Hospital, Tirunelveli. They have three children and all of whom are residing with her husband. The petitioner is finding it difficult to take care of the children due to her absence. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 30.06.2025 to the respondents, seeking transfer nearby the Kanyakumari District. As no action was taken on the proposal, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition before this Court.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the ffirst 3/6

respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the first respondent to consider the same on its own merits.
