When the selection process itself has been dropped, the closing of the writ petition, on the ground that the prayer in the writ petition seeking for appointment of the petitioner as Senior Factory Assistant has become infructuous, cannot be found fault with. As such there are no grounds to interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge. Accordingly, the writ appeal stands dismissed. No costs.
