RESPONDENT Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to To direct the Respondent to Register the Case on the complaint dated 14.01.2018 against the proposed accused persons for the offence punishable U/s. 147, 148, 294(b), 351, 406, 420, 447 and 506(ii) of IPC and consequently take action against the proposed accused person stated in accordance with the law Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.A.S.ALAUDEEN,Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.K.K.RAMAKRISHNAN, Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondents the court made the following order:- According to the petitioner, the complaint has been preferred on 10.01.2018 and the same was assigned in C.S.R.No.8/2018. The said complaint is pending for more than seven months, but sofar, no action has been taken by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the said complaint is still pending.

3.In this case, the Inspector of Police has totally violated the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court as well as the circular issued by the Director General of Police. As per the circular issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent has to complete the enquiry within a period of 15 days, in the light of the decision rendered in Lalitha Kumari Vs. State of UP in W.P. (Criminal) 68 of 2008. Since no such action has been taken by the respondent till now, one week time is granted to the respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

submit a status report before this Court.

4.Post this matter after three week.

5.In the meantime, the status report shall be filed before this Court.
