Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents.

2. Issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is a resident of Ariyagoundenpatti Village. He alleges that in the petition-mentioned survey numbers, there are encroachments. He wants the same to be removed.

4. The learned Government Advocate on instructions states that survey Nos.945/5 and 949 have been classified as Vari. He states that even though survey No.946/4 stands in the name of seven persons, as per FMB, it has been shown as water body.

5. The third respondent is directed to issue notice to the private respondents and other encroachers if any, conduct survey and if encroachments are noticed, then by adhering to due process of law, the encroachments shall be removed. The entire exercise will be completed within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
